CONFERENCE DETAILS

The CGS YPC begins with a day-long technical tour to highlight local geology, industry, and infrastructure. The technical tour is then followed by two days of delegate presentations, technical workshops, keynote presentations, and/or panel discussions.

The 2025 CGS YPC will be held in the beautiful location of Wasagaming, Manitoba at the Elkhorn Resort Spa & Conference Centre.

​

The accommodation is included in the conference registration for the delegates.​

  • Delegates arrive in Winnipeg

  • Delegates check-in to the recommended hotel in Winnipeg

  • Conference registration begins

  • Informal evening mixer

  • Breakfast at the hotel

  • Technical Tour commences in Winnipeg and en-route to the conference venue

  • Lunch is provided on the tour, and rest stops are planned as necessary

  • Arrive at Elkhorn Resort

  • Dinner at Elkhorn Resort

  • Arranged bus transportation back to Winnipeg

TECHNICAL
TOUR

Delegates will visit sites of interesting geotechnical and geological features, guided by local industry professionals or keynote speakers.

DELEGATE
PRESENTATIONS

All participants are expected to provide a short "PechaKucha" Style presentation on a research topic or project, to generate interest for the poster sessions to follow. ​

 

The poster sessions allow delegates an opportunity to network, communicate with peers, and answer questions.​​
